Taoyuan Egg Freezing Nutrition Fund Subsidy

Program period: The application period begins on April 17, 2023. The schedule begins on January 1 of the current year and ends on December 31 of the same year, or until all allocated funds have been expended.

Subsidy targets:

  1. Women aged 30 (inclusive) to 40 (inclusive) with household registration in Taoyuan City or foreign women who have not yet obtained the Republic of China national identification card but whose spouse is a citizen with household registration in Taoyuan City (once in a lifetime).
  2. Those who have received subsidy for egg retrieval therapy will not be eligible for the MOHW's artificial insemination technology subsidy plan for in vitro fertilization (commonly known as test-tube babies) the same year.

Subsidy items: A subsidy of NT$10,000 is provided for the first year as egg freezing nutrition fund; in the subsequent two years (the second and third), a subsidy of NT$6,000 is provided for storage-related expenses. Each case will receive a subsidy of up to NT$22,000.

Subsidization method: The subject will visit the institution of implementation to undergo the egg freezing process. On behalf of the subject, the artificial insemination institution will submit an application to the Department of Health, Taoyuan City Government in the current year. Upon review and approval by the Department of Health, Taoyuan City Government, funds will be allocated to the applicant’s account. The following application materials are required:

  1. A duplicate copy of the statement of medical fees (the egg freezing or storage fees should be specified).
  2. A duplicate copy of the applicant’s bank passbook’s front cover.
  3. A duplicate copy of the front and back of the applicant’s national identification card.
  4. The original copy of the receipt and the affidavit.
